Another good article about keeping your eyes on the road and safe driving. Most of us have been driving long enough to remember using knobs to operate the AC, radio, turn signals, and windshield wipers. You could practically operate them without taking your eyes off the road. But as tech has advanced, so have these features in cars. Some brands have done away with knobs or stalks altogether and gone to everything touchscreen! I love touchscreens, and while the case can be made for these functions being cooler and slicker to use, they come with a risk – less time with your eyes on the road!
Fortunately, some brands are starting to bring buttons back. Don’t worry – this won’t eliminate the cool and very useful touchscreens. The two forms of operation will work in tandem to provide drivers with a safer driving experience. We think it is a great idea and hope that add’l brands will start to do the same. What do you think?
